Fall Loves/I Love Fall Tag

Sooo, I thought it'd be really fun to do a tag that a lot of people on Youtube are doing called the I Love Fall Tag...or is it Fall Loves tag? Something about fall and love :p
I absolutely love Youtube, by the way. I have a few channels that I regularly watch, usually beauty/health/vlog type videos. I myself have a health channel (www.youtube.com/user/123beehealthy), but I'm usually too busy to make videos consistently for it, which is crappy, because I do love it :-)
Anyhoo, on with the tag, which was really fun to do :)

QUESTIONS:

1. Favourite Fall lip product?
That would definitely have to be Revlon's Cherries in the Snow...It's the most gorgeous fall color ever, very bold with a matte finish... it is a super fun, bright POPPING color!
(Here I am, wearing it :D)

2. Favourite Fall Nail Polish?-Hmmm I'm not sure. In the fall, I like fall colors :p You know, like reds and berry pinks and stuff like that. A few weeks ago, I got a gel color at the salon that I loved, wish I knew names, as I know that that isn't really helpful :p sorry

3. Favourite Starbucks Fall Drink?
I wanna say the pumpkin latte, but I haven't had one yet this season :p I don't even know if they'll make them after Halloween boo. Just wait until December, I drink their white chocolate peppermint mochas like water. hahahah :)

4. Favourite Fall Candle?

Anything that smells like pumpkin or apple pie or cinnamon. I love fall scents :)
5. Favourite Fall Scarf or accessory
Um, uggs. :-) they're fall/winter

6. Haunted house, haunted hay ride, or haunted corn maze?
Lol my boyfriend and I went to Eastern State Penitentiary in Philly. Super fun, they're really great at scaring the crap out of people.

7. Favourite Halloween movie?

Charlie Brown! The one with the Great Pumpkin.
8. Favourite candy to eat on Halloween?

wellllll, I try to be somewhat healthy and eat the little fun size bars of dark chocolate :-) I looove Reeses and Snickers though :p I love all chocolate candies, I don't discriminate :D
9. What are you dressing up as for Halloween?

I was Minnie, I blogged about it :-)
10. What is your Favourite thing about Fall?
The leaves are pretty. I love pumpkins and apples and pumpkin/apple dessert. I love Halloween & Thanksgiving to death...I can't pick one thing!

I tag you! Go do it! :D

The Best Chocolate Chip M&M cookies Ever!!! :D

I made cookies tonight :D

Not just any cookies. Chocolate Chip M&M cookies.

Not just any chocolate chip M&M cookies. The BEST chocolate chip M & M cookies ever.

I made them for the Halloween party I was telling you guys about. Anytime I go to a party and I have to bring a dessert, these cookies are my go to recipe. They  are just...seriously awesome :-) People go crazy over  em :D
I wish I could take credit for having created this amaaazing cookie recipe, but sadly, I cannot. I found it on some chick named Culinary Cory's website. (www.culinarycory.com) I need to meet this Culinary Cory. I have a feeling we'd be great friends.
Actually, no, no we wouldn't. I'm certain that if I were friends with her, my butt would be very fat. All of her recipes look crazy delicious...I was just browsing her website, and now I'm hungry. And I just ate dinner :p
But yeah, I'm including the recipe in this blog to make it easy for anyone who wants to make the cookies. I'll put the link underneath, as I definitely want to give credit where credit is due ;-) Big thank you to Culinary Cory!

"Chocolate Chip M&M Cookies
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
2/3 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups unbleached white flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
6 oz. milk chocolate chips
8 oz. M&M candies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Mix sugars, butter and shortening until light and fluffy.  Next add the eggs and vanilla until combined.  Slowly add the flour, baking soda and salt.  Be careful not to over mix the dough.  Turn off the mixer and hand fold the chocolate chips and M&M candies until well combined.
Using a small ice cream scoop, drop the cookies onto ungreased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.  Bake at 350 degrees for 6 to 8* minutes, rotating the trays halfway through.  Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool completely on the cookie sheet.  I have found this to be the best way to guarantee perfectly soft cookies each and every time.  Makes about 3 ½ dozen cookies."

*Note: I bake for 8 minutes, rotate the tray like she suggests, then bake for 5 more. I guess it depends on your oven. Keep an eye on them :-)

I used candy corn m &ms in honor of Halloween :-)

Happy Baking!

My Halloween Costume

Soooo, with Halloween being exactly one week away, I thought it would be fun to do a post on Halloween costumes…
I am going to be Minnie Mouse!

I’m  not going to be going trick or treating, although I’d totally be down to dress up and harass my neighbors for some free candy :D... pretty sure that that would be frowned upon at my age…
I am, however, going to a Halloween party this weekend, thus the reason why I have a Halloween costume.
For anyone who is interested, I ordered my costume off of a website called www.yandy.com (they also have a facebook page) It was a little out of my price range, but I saw it and I had to have it sooo…I splurged. You know how it is :p Monkey see. Monkey want. Monkey enter credit card information...Monkey hesitate and wonder if this is a good idea...Monkey take a deep breathe and buy...sound familiar? No? Fine. Judge me :p
Anyhow, I was really pleased with Yandy.com’s customer service. The costume arrived exactly two days after I ordered it, in perfect condition. The only not so great thing is that if you don’t like your Halloween costume, you unfortunately aren’t able to return it. They only process exchanges for Halloween costume purchases, which isn’t so bad. They sell a lot of cute things, including leggings and clubwear and lingerie…ooh la la ;-)
If you have not yet ordered a Halloween costume, there is definitely still time! And if after seeing this post, you’re just dying to be Minnie Mouse too, here is the link that I ordered mine from:
http://www.yandy.com/Minnie-Mouse-2.php
It's definitely worth spending an extra twenty bucks or so (I forget how much it was, and I'm too lazy to check :p) and getting the petticoat thing to go underneath your dress-scroll down, and you will see it :-)
You could also go as a more scantily clad Minnie Mouse. They're calling it the pin-up Minnie Mouse costume. Personally, I never knew that Minnie Mouse was a pin-up.  Playboy Bunnies, yes. But Minnie Mouse? Say whaaat...

It’s personally a little much for my tastes, but I won’t judge. Do your thing, honey ;-)

Happy Halloween Costume shopping!

p.s. I forgot to mention that I am not in any way affiliated with yandy.com, nor am I receiving any compensation for writing this blog post. But if you happen to work for Yandy, and you feel like sending me some free underwear or something, that'd be sick :p hahahahah

First post...oooh :D

Hey there.  My name is Alyssa, and this is my first entry on this blog. I decided to start my blog for fun. A few of my facebook friends do it (well, two of them. They're sisters. Hi, Shannon! Hi, Stacey!), because they love to write. I love to write too, so naturally when I read their blogs and saw much fun they were having, I got a little jealous and decided that I wanted my own blog. Thank you ladies.
Their blogs:

(I'm waiting on Shannon to send me her link, as I seem to have misplaced it :-(
I have always thought that blogging looked like a super fun thing to do, mainly because you can be as random as you like. Sure, a lot of people have blogs centered on one topic alone-a food blog, or a fashion blog, or a blog on their personal feelings (I have a diary for that :p It's pretty and it has Audrey Hepburn on the front cover. There is glitter on it, too-could there be a more awesome diary? I think not :-p
I, like my other two friends who blog, have a plethora of different interests. I love food, for one thing. I love all things related to cooking and baking. I also love make-up and clothes-what girl doesn't? :-) I like the movies, and the holidays and books....I enjoy a lot of things, and so my blog will definitely be reflective of that. If I have to stick to one topic, I'll probably get really bored and not want to do it anymore, which would be really crappy.
I really can't say how often I'll be writing, I will deff try to post as much as I can, but sometimes it's tough, as I work part time and go to school full time. I'm a busy girl...watch me end up posting several times a day and everyone will be like, "hmmphh no life ::cough:: ::cough" hahahha

Sit back, relax, and please enjoy :-) And subscribe! teehee
